First World War Discovery Day
Saturday 20th May 2017

Assemble the troops and join us for a day of fun at a First World War Discovery Day at the Highlanders’ Museum, home to the largest military collection outside London. Explore our Replica Trench, make your own Trench Periscope, visit our Artist in Residence’s Studio, explore our WW1 Handling Collection and try on clothes from the period. See our fabulous stop-frame animated short film and listen to Gaelic tunes from the time sung by the fantastic Nairn Gaelic Choir!

Venue

The Highlanders' Museum is housed within the old Governor's House within the Historic military base of Fort George. The Museum is set over three floors and has magnificent views over the Moray Firth. There is disabled access of the first two floors.

Free entry to The Highlanders' Museum but entry to Fort George is paid.
