See Life on the Ocean Wave
Saturday 14th / Sunday 15th May 2016This event has passed.

Transport yourself back to the early 1900s and experience life on a working cargo ship! For one weekend only, The Tall Ship will be ‘brought to life’ so that you can experience the ship as though you are part of the crew on a voyage. Stationed around the ship, costumed crew will be enabling visitors to see first-hand the types of duties that would have been done. Join the cook in the galley to make ship’s biscuits, try your hand at knot tying with the sailmaker, practice your wood carving skills with the carpenter and the captain’s wife will even be on hand so you can try knitting and embroidery. On board there will also be an animal petting zoo, face painting, temporary tattoos and, to top it all off, live music!

Suitable for all ages.
