Deep Time and Scotland’s Time Lords
Saturday 20th May 2017

The earth is 4600 million years old! How big does your calculator need to be to work that out?! Over 200 years ago in Scotland, James Hutton found a piece of the puzzle. 100 years later Arthur Holmes did the maths. They are Scotland’s ‘time lords’. But what does that have to do with meteorites, moon rocks and radioactive bananas? Can you fit the extinction of the dinosaurs (65 million years ago) and the evolution of humans (2 million years ago) onto your very own earth clock?

Suitable for families. No booking required – just drop in!
