Right Up Your Street Open Day
Saturday 14th May 2016This event has passed.

Would you like to find out about shopping from a bygone era? What shops were on our high street, what did they look like, how were they run? Come along to our event and get hands on with the old high street… dress up like a shopkeeper and weigh out produce on traditional scales, try wrapping a food parcel, learn how to use butter pats or kneed dough and count out in old money.

You can even try out some old fashioned recipes or visit one of our information stalls. There will be a featured talk on the day about the importance of the co-operative movement locally and displays by our local studies and archive departments.

Suitable for all ages.
