Special evening event at Kinneil Museum, and its neighbouring 16th century mansion, Kinneil House. Organised by The Friends of Kinneil charity in association with Falkirk Community Trust, Falkirk Council and Historic Environment Scotland. There will be evening events in the museum and the opportunity to tour the neighbouring Kinneil House from 6-7.30 p.m. (last admission 7 pm.). The Museum will be open a little longer – from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pop in and claim a goody bag while stocks last and enjoy special activities. The evening will end with a nature walk and a hunt for bats in the surrounding Kinneil Estate.

Kinneil House, the historic home of the Dukes of Hamilton, dates back to the 15th and 16th centuries and is home to some of the best rare renaissance wall paintings in Scotland. Kinneil Museum, housed in the 17th century stable block, features the exhibition ‘2000 Years of History’, which tells the story of the park from Roman times to present day. The surrounding woods and estate are buzzing with wildlife and ideal for walking.
