Be part of our biggest Festival of Museums event yet as we celebrate the 150th Anniversary of The McManus. Drop-in throughout the day for family activities, live music, poetry, dance, guided tours and living history performances – all inspired by our past, present and future visitors and supporters!

Venue

The Albert Institute, now The McManus, was opened in 1867. A Gothic-Revival design building designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and named after the Prince Consort, an advocate of literature, art and science. Today there are eight galleries featuring art, archaeology, natural history, world cultures and social history collections.
