Kelvin Hall Tea Dance
Sunday 21st May 2017This event has passed.

Join us for an afternoon of Foxtrots, Quicksteps, Waltzes and even the Glasgow Jive! We will have the fantastic big band experience with ‘That Swing Sensation’ and a dance instructor present to get everyone on their feet and in the mood for some fun. Tea and biscuits will be served to keep you fuelled through the afternoon!

Especially for those of you 16+.

We will also have a small community exhibition which looks at dance hall memories. This lovely, nostalgic display was created in partnership with members of Peterson Park Sequence Dance Club, Glasgow Life Communities and Glasgow Museums.

Part of our ‘The Magic Mirror – Reflections of 1967 at Kelvin Hall’ Festival of Museums activities. We are hosting a celebration of our partners’ activities (Glasgow Museums, the Hunterian and the National Library of Scotland) from 50 years ago which highlight the history and heritage of our iconic building to mark the Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology.
